Being Still

I was at a party recently. A friend introduced her friend and said (about me) “This guy I’ve known for a long time. He has helped me a lot and life is easier now.” So her friend said, tell me what I’m supposed to do. I said you could start by just being still. She said, I can’t do that and walked away. I guess that she felt that being still wasn’t an option that she wanted to take.

Being still means that how you know yourself is put on hold. The busy person doing, stops.
You could say that it is death to what is called reality. The mind wants to prevent stopping in the worst way, It is used to being in charge, listened to, believed and obeyed. Sounds like a wrathful God doesn’t it.

Most especially the mind doesn’t want you to know that the mind turned inward knows only peace.
